Oil Search and FPDA sign agreement

Fresh Produce Development Agency (FPDA) recently signed an agreement with Oil Search Limited (OSL) to provide skills and farming methods training to communities in oil and gas affected areas.

The signing took place in Port Moresby, between Oil Search senior executives and FPDA General Manager Mark Worinu.

It is a significant milestone for FPDA as it allows the organization to extend its skills and technical knowledge into oil and gas affected areas.

The aim is to empower and equip landowner communities to not only become self-sufficient with food and nutrition, but also allow them to produce and supply to the workforce in the oil and gas fields.

FPDA is proud to partner with Oil Search Limited and also appreciates Oil Search for having confidence in their activities over the years.

Mr Worinu said after having completed their head office in Goroka, which was opened last month, they are now ready to take up new challenges and Oil Search would be one of their major priority areas.

“We are keen to deliver to Oil Search and the government’s expectations in the food and horticulture industry. We have done it before and despite the challenges, we are prepared to give our best,” he said.
